Gamba Export Sealine Replacement – Pipelay Project

 

Van Oord Offshore is awarded by Shell for the installation of 2x 10km of 22inch pipeline and a PLEM in Gamba, Gabon (West Africa). 

The shallow water pipelay barge ‘Stingray’ is used to execute the scope for the pipelay.

In the second phase the DSV "Strill Server" is used for the installation of the spools, PLEM grouting, Bouy Rotation and renewal of Subsea Hoses.

Delivering subsea intervention management for Van Oord Offshore. 

The delivered assistance includes:

  • Managing the dive subcontractor;
  • Developing dive procedures for LayDownHead Removal, Metrology, Spool Installation,PLEM Tow-Out, PLEM Grouting, SBM Bouy Rotation, Renewal of Subsea Hoses;
  • Delivering assistance for engineering regarding installation methods during preparation of Method Statements; 
  • Representative during offshore installation.
